First post in a long time...
I haven't been feeling well for a long time, but am getting better now. Thanks to those who kept me as a friend. I'll try to catch up and post something interisting soon. Best Wishes |

Nee Hao!
I'm going to start studying Chinese again soon. I'm going to use the new digital camera to make a slide show of the radicals to get started again. It drives me nuts to be able to only identify one or two radicals in Chinese writing on tv or restaurants. I know that they are talking about "bean", "meat", "public", but not any of the real message. |

Got this from Maetang | You Are Strawberry Cake | Fresh, sassy, and romantic. You're a total flirt, who never would turn down a sugary treat. Occasionally you're a bit moody - but you usually stay sweet! | |

Uranium
As if I needed any more radioactive things, I just bought a custard glass mixing bowl and a pair of clip on ear rings with green Vaseline glass "emeralds" in them. We watched Normal Adolescent Behavior on DVD this weekend and thought it an interesting look at 17 year old polyamory/polyfidelity. |

Two "perfect" movies?
We watched Perfect Stranger on DVD night before last, and thought it was very good. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0457433/We watched A Perfect Fit on DVD last night and thought it was very bad and depressing. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0391397/The fact that both had “perfect” in the title was just a coincidence, that I didn’t realize till I got them home. I have to assist my 96 year old father till late Sunday night, no internet at his house. I will catch up with LJ on Monday. Have a great week end. |

Oooops! I did it again!
In the last 4 days I have added to my radioactive collection, but should have just saved the money for other things. Ah, well... Last Friday, 2 radium dial alarm clocks, from the watch and clock sales and repair store next door. Trip to Cape Girardeau, MO, Sunday, to see Stardust, 1 little frosted green Fenton uranium glass bird, 1 big Westinghouse clock radio, with radium hands, two Fiesta Ware dishes with red orange uranium glaze, circa 1930-1945, 1 tiny frosted yellow uranium glass mug that says Midland Mich, 1 green uranium glass mixing bowl. Today, 1 green uranium glass saucer, 1 green uranium glass sundae cup. It's worse than heroin. Somebody STOP me! To make matters worse, my new book, "The Radioactive Boy Scout" just came in the mail from Amazon. |

We saw Stardust yesterday. It was great. It had sword and sorcery activity, but was very original and fresh. |

I'm always sad when people unfriend me. I just unfriended a few, that have unfriended me first. Lord knows when, I haven't checked my profile in a long time. My fresh dill/vinegar infusion had mixed success last night. It was long enough in the food processor to fight me by lumping to one side as it spun. Just like the washer sometimes does if the load gets unbalanced, "bump, bump, bump...". I was able to grind the flower heads by removing them all and dropping them in one at a time into the tube while the processor was running. I strained that into the bottle, and it is pretty good. The rest of the stalks I put into a big plastic glass with fresh vinegar to cover and then froze it to break the cell walls. I don't want to heat it and lose essential oils and enzymes. I'll thaw it and strain it into the bottle with the other stuff. The house smells nice with the dill perfume. I set off a cat flea bomb in the basement and bedroom and closed the doors. The fog went away pretty soon in both places. We and the cats might hide in the bedroom when I set the last one off to get the kitchen, living room, and dining room. |
